Don Cleavin – Refuelling

I didn’t go ashore; I was too busy refuelling.

We were refuelling from a road tanker. We had 400 tonnes of diesel. A road tanker doesn’t hold anything like that.

I think you had to fill up about 10 – 15 road tankers to give us enough to get going again.
